Our Story
Dr. Tara Sanderson and Dr. Kristie Schmidlkofer first met in graduate school, where a shared
passion for psychology and helping others quickly sparked a lasting friendship. Over more than
20 years, they have supported each other through professional milestones and personal growth
—and have made a point to infuse their journey with fun and adventure.
Their friendship is filled with memorable joint adventures, from geo caching quests that turned
ordinary days into treasure hunts, to beach trips and spontaneous road trips up and down the
Oregon coast. Whether they’re exploring new places, sharing laughter on the road, or rolling
dice together in epic Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, Tara and Kristie bring a spirit of
curiosity, playfulness, and camaraderie to everything they do. These shared experiences have
strengthened their bond and inspired the engaging, collaborative approach they bring to their
work.
